In the mean time.

What exactly does this mean?

In the time that is to have intentions of a specified kind?
In the time that is extremely unpleasant or disagreeable?
In the time that is in poor physical condition; sick or debilitated?
In the time that is having a position, quality, or condition midway between extremes?
In the time that is a method, a course of action, or an instrument by which an end can be achieved?
In the time that is the average value of a set of numbers?
In the time that is intermediate in size, extent, quality, or degree?

What does all this mean?

Well, this post certainly has a very specific purpose. This purpose, however, is yet undefined. What I MEAN to say is this: perhaps your quest for MEANing will lead you here....?
