Chiiilllll my Ba..bies.....
The news is out. Conan to take Leno's place on 'Tonight' show. Even though this is still 5 years out, I can't help to feel a bit saddened. There is something special about that late hour. It is just at that time of day, at least for me, where everything has finally winded down. There are not to many distractions and it feels OK to just chill out on the couch and taken in some clever humor. It also makes you feel like your a part of something that is not so mainstream, even though Conan has become quite the popular TV show host.
What are your thoughts? Do you guys think that the new time slot will change his style? In what ways do you think that his humor will affect the way that people percieve comedy? Will the general public be more apt to dish out cheese? Have I just posted a really boring topic that is really just trying to be something that it cannot? Or, will we even care about any of this 5 years down the road? I guess I should consider that in five years, I too will be bedding down for a good night's rest at an earlier hour. I should be thankful that NBC is thinking about me and had the foresight to plan ahead so that I may go to sleep with a smile on my face, hopefully.
